University of WA, Pike's Market in Seattle + Quick Stop at the Casino

Tim:  Amber, Ryan, and I started the day near the University of WA. Ate lunch at an awesome Thai place called Thai Thom. Later we headed off to Pike's Market in downtown Seattle. There was losts of fish. Spent part of the time looking for Oyster shooters, with no luck. Saw the very first Starbucks ever operated. Later in the afternoon, Amber and I split off from Ryan, and headed back towards my Aunt and Uncle's house, but first we made a quick stop at a local casino (card room) in Tukwilla. I enjoy going to casinos, but Amber is not much of a fan. I picked up the hobby of card counting back in my early college days. She said, she was staying in the car to say goodbye to friends via cell phone. I knew I didn't have much time. I literally ran into the first casino looking for a decent black jack game. No luck. Ran over to the casino next store. Found a decent double deck black jack table. Sat down played for 15 minutes and won $120. I decided I wasn't likely to get any more lucky than I already had. Ran back to the car $120 richer to rejoin Amber back to my Aunt and Uncle's house.  Fun day with many more to come!

  1. I'm so excited for you! I'm sure you'll have a fun time. Amy and I were thinking about planning a similar year long trip so we'll be watching!
